If you don’t care about going to fancy hotels, you can usually get a deal on a cheaper place to stay somewhere else on the Strip.
Another of our favorite places to stay is in the area between the MGM and New York. This is the best bargain by far. If you stay at Skyhill, they have thousands and thousands of rooms. They have many other hotels around the area, but if you stay here, you can usually get a great deal. Sometimes they can get in the area for cheaper than the hotels on the Strip.
Another “hole-in-the-wall” hotel is often discounted and could be the perfect place for a weekend of poker. suggestion…lock up and play in the wee hours of the morning! If you’re tired of waiting for a table at as late a time as you like, try going to Circus Circus Circus Casino. Circus used to be a stand- Alone casino and was completely overlooked for many years. They have recently finished a renovation and addition and have placed an addition that makes this hotel perfect for the player looking for a little something extra in Vegas. They added high-end restaurants and some of the lowest rates in the area. Queens Plaza and Stratosphere are the newest addition to the resort and they are elegant places to stay. Sometimes they can get you a discount if you ask, but be prepared to wait if you’re coming from outside the area. Queens Plaza also supplies grandview to the area and you can see the city from there.
Of course, whatever you do, you can’t forget about your poker game. Queens Plaza offers several tables for those times you and your friends are running low on funds for the trip. Sometimes they can even get you a special room rate for a special game. If you’re taking a overflowing night on the town, you can get a deal on a hotel room rate for a hotel room that you won’t even have to pay the room clerk. That’s a deal you’ll never forget. If you’re staying somewhere other than Royals Plaza, you can ask the front desk to request a special room rate and save yourself a trip to the front desk when you’re not already there.
Believe it or not, you can also get a deal on drinks at the Casino. drinks are always a crowd puller for the Sin City. If you’re new to Vegas, you can learn a little bit of the game, play a few hands, and get your drinks from the Bar costing just a little more than sitting at home in your pajamas. Now that you know what to expect when going to the Hongkong Pools, you can enjoy your stay even more knowing that you’ll be leaving with more cash in your pocket than when you arrived.
